Hospice Patron Scheme receives local boost – August 2007
St. Michael’s Hospice Development Trust welcomed two new businesses to their Patrons’ Scheme this week when Patrick Lee and Terry Weston of Ashdown Hurrey and Spectrum Financial Services, met with Cliff Wallis, Chairman of the Trust.
The Development Trust provides funds for the expansion of services at the Hospice, such as the recent extension to the Day Care Centre, and is always looking for people and organisations to become patrons.
Cliff said:
“The Patrons’ Scheme has been highly successful since it was launched some three years ago, particularly with individuals, and we are very grateful for the support of Ashdown Hurrey and Spectrum for helping us underline the attractions of the scheme for local businesses.”
Terry said:
“There are numerous good causes in the area that benefit from the generosity of people and businesses in the Hastings area. The Hospice is one of those charities that must never be far from our thoughts when considering which to support. Although a regular commitment, becoming a patron is not a huge financial undertaking for the individual business, but in total the Scheme provides the Trust with an assured cash flow to help it continue its strong support of St. Michael’s.”
